Older Adult Services

The Los Angeles County Aging & Disabilities Department offers a variety of programs and services to support older adults, caregivers, and families.

These services are designed to help older adults live safely, stay healthy, and remain independent in their homes and communities.

What is an Area Agency on Aging (AAA)

The Aging & Disabilities Department administers Los Angeles County’s Area Agency on Aging (AAA), which plans and provides services for adults age 60 and older.

Area Agencies on Aging were established under the Older Americans Act to help older adults remain independent, healthy, and safe in their homes, especially those with the greatest economic or social need.

Below are programs available through Los Angeles County’s AAA. These services support nutrition, health, caregiving, legal needs, and more.
