National Family Caregivers Month

Each November, we join the nation in recognizing the dedication of family caregivers, that is, those who provide daily, unpaid care to loved ones with chronic illness, disability, or aging-related needs.

Senior Center Month 2025

September is National Senior Center Month — a time to celebrate the vibrant, enriching experiences unfolding every day in L.A. County’s senior centers. This year’s campaign flips the script on aging, spotlighting older adults and adults with disabilities as bold, lifelong learners and community builders.

Disability Services - 2025 Strategic Plan Survey

To guide the future of disability services, AD is developing a five-year strategic plan that will serve as a comprehensive, data-driven roadmap to enhance accessibility, promote inclusion, and strengthen services for people with disabilities.

Disability Pride Month 2025

In July, we celebrate Disability Pride Month by honoring the voices, stories and leadership of people with disabilities across L.A. County. This year's theme affirms that disability is a natural part of human diversity - and proudly declares: "We belong here, and we're here to stay."

Each May, we observe Older Americans Month (OAM)—a time to celebrate the contributions of older adults, raise awareness about aging issues, and strengthen our commitment to inclusion and respect for all generations. This year’s theme, “Flip the Script on Aging,” invites us to challenge outdated stereotypes and embrace a new narrative.
