Los Nietos Community and Senior Center was built in 1977 to serve the unincorporated Whittier area and other neighboring communities. In August 2020, the center underwent a complete renovation and is now a multipurpose facility designed to offer a wide range of services and social activities providing opportunities for daily learning, skills enhancement, community engagement, socialization, and healthy living for residents of all ages.

| Zumba | Offers older adults a lively and enjoyable workout, combining dance and aerobic movements set to energetic music, promoting fitness and fun in a social atmosphere. |
| Aerobics | Offers older adults a fun and energetic workout designed to improve cardiovascular health, flexibility, and overall fitness in a supportive group environment. |
| Painting Class for Adults | Class teaches all levels to paint with different mediums. |
| Crochet | Crochet is taught from new to advanced learners. |
| Video Exercise | Seniors exercise to a video at the center. |

| Emergency Food Assistance | The center coordinates, organizes and distributes food to provide food to low-income individuals, including the elderly and persons with disabilities. Maintains and prepares monthly reports to be submitted to the Food Bank. |

| Forms Assistance | Staff help complete simple forms such as Utility CARE Discount, Jury Duty, etc. |
| Translation | Staff assist translate simple documents for the community. |
| Meeting Room Reservations | Centers have meeting rooms available for reservation by organizations seeking to provide a service to the community. |
| Presentation/Workshops | Centers have a variety of workshops that changes monthly. |
| Farmer’s Market Voucher | Seniors receive vouchers to use at farmer’s markets. |
| Fitness Centers | Exercise equipment available at the center such as treadmill, elliptical, etc. |
| Cooling Center | If there is excessive high temperature, centers are activated as Cooling centers to provide relief from extreme heat conditions. The goal is to offer a safe, cool environment for those who might be at risk of heat-related illnesses. |
