Empowering Communities: Introducing the Healthy Aging L.A. Dashboard

The Healthy Aging and Chronic Disease Data Dashboard, affectionately known as the Healthy Aging L.A. Dashboard, marks a pioneering collaboration between the Tucker-Seeley Research Lab at the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, University of Southern California (USC), the Los Angeles County Department of Aging & Disabilities (AD), the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Los Angeles Alliance for Community Health and Aging (LAACHA).

The goal of the dashboard is to summarize data on the quality of life for older adults across Los Angeles County, and to create an accessible and efficient data visualization tool

By consolidating pertinent data, the dashboard serves as a valuable resource, empowering stakeholders with actionable insights to inform decision-making and resource allocation.

Beyond its role as a data repository, the Healthy Aging L.A. Dashboard plays a pivotal role in fostering community-driven initiatives. By providing essential data, it equips community members with the necessary tools to apply for grants and develop innovative programs tailored to enhance the well-being of older adults across Los Angeles County.

The dashboard was created by the Aging & Disabilities department’s Business & Information Technology team using PowerBi. The dashboard was launched on December 13, 2023 at the LAACHA General Membership meeting and is housed on the at Aging & Disabilities Department website (ad.lacounty.gov/dashboard/)
