Los Angeles County’s Collaborative Commitment to Veterans and Aging Adults

Los Angeles County Aging & Disabilities (AD) and the County of Los Angeles Military and Veterans Affairs (MVA) took a significant step forward on January 16, 2024, by entering a non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This landmark collaboration signals a united effort to better serve our aging and disabled population, as well as veterans and their families in the community.

The essence of this MoU lies in its core principle: mutual support and cooperation between AD and MVA. Under this agreement, both departments pledge to refer potentially eligible veterans and their family caregivers to each other for assistance with various programs and supportive services. These services encompass a broad spectrum of needs, ranging from addressing homelessness risks among veterans to providing essential transportation and nutrition services.
