Older Americans Month

Every May, the County of Los Angeles celebrates Older Americans Month. During this month, the nation unites to acknowledge the invaluable wisdom, experience, and insights that older adults share with their families, loved ones, and society. Older Americans Month serves as a reminder to celebrate the diverse perspectives and accomplishments of older adults, while also promoting their well-being, health, and quality of life. Through events, activities, and Countywide initiatives, Older Americans Month encourages intergenerational connections and ensures that older adults continue to lead independent, fulfilling, and active lives.
