FY 2026–2027 Area Plan Update – Public Hearings Web Hub

Welcome to the central information hub for the FY 2026–2027 Area Plan Update public hearings. This page provides all details related to participation, schedules, meeting access, documents, and ways to submit input.

About the Area Plan

The Area Plan outlines goals, priorities, and strategies for programs and services that support older adults, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and families throughout Los Angeles County. It guides services funded by the:

• Older Americans Act (OAA)

• Older Californians Act (OCA)

• Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)

Your feedback helps shape programs that improve independence, health, safety, and quality of life for our communities.

How to Participate

Community members, service providers, caregivers, and other stakeholders are invited to attend any of the scheduled public hearings and provide comments.

 

You may participate in any of the following ways:

1.  Attend a Public Hearing

We are hosting five (5) in-person hearings and one (1) virtual hearing. All are open to the public.

 

2. Submit Written Comments

Written comments or statements may be submitted by email:

• County of Los Angeles Aging & Disabilities Department: aaaprogram@ad.lacounty.gov

• City of Los Angeles Department of Aging: planning@lacity.org

 

3. Request Accommodations

If you need disability-related accommodations, language interpretation, or other assistance to participate, please email us at least 72 hours in advance.

How Public Input Will Be Used

All comments received, either through hearings or written submissions, will be reviewed by planning staff from both the County and City of Los Angeles. Feedback will help:

• Refine priorities and strategies

• Identify unmet needs

• Improve service delivery

• Strengthen partnerships with community organizations

A summary of public input and resulting revisions will be posted on this page after the hearings conclude.
