September is National Senior Center Month

This month, we’re celebrating L.A. County’s senior centers as vibrant spaces where older adults and adults with disabilities come together to explore, connect, and thrive.

Check out our “Everyday Explorers Flip the Script” campaign — inspired by our national partners and shaped by the bold spirit of our local centers. It builds on last year’s award-winning work.

Watch this year’s video feature: L.A. County Senior Centers: Where ‘Everyday Explorers’ Live Boldly and discover how our centers are flipping the script on aging — from dance classes to digital skills, purpose-driven programming to unexpected adventures.

The video offers closed captions (CC), and an interactive transcript (for screen readers), in 9 languages.

Meet the Leaders Behind the Movement:

As part of the campaign, we’re also spotlighting our Senior Center Directors — the everyday change-makers behind these extraordinary community spaces. From creating inclusive programs to supporting lifelong growth, these leaders are at the heart of what makes our centers so impactful.

Let’s celebrate the curious, courageous community members who prove that exploration has no age or ability limit.
