L.A. County Care Connections
“Plug-In to Care” this November and celebrate National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM) in Los Angeles County.

“Plug-In to Care” this November and celebrate National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM) in Los Angeles County.

Each November, we join the nation in recognizing the dedication of family caregivers, that is, those who provide daily, unpaid care to loved ones with chronic illness, disability, or aging-related needs.
This year’s national theme, “Plug-In to Care,” reminds us that no caregiver should feel disconnected or alone. In Los Angeles County, our campaign: L.A. County Care Connections highlights how caregivers can easily connect to local support, trusted resources, and community networks that make caregiving a little lighter.
Whether you’re helping a parent, spouse, neighbor, or friend, you are a caregiver, and you deserve care too.
Recognize and celebrate family caregivers across Los Angeles County
Promote awareness of local caregiver support services, including the Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP)
Encourage caregivers to connect with available programs and community resources
Build awareness of how small acts of support can make a big difference
Caregivers give so much of themselves to others. This November, let’s make sure they feel connected: to care, to community, and to each other.
Resource Spotlight: Plug In to Support
Each week in November, we’ll highlight a local service that helps caregivers connect to care
Support Groups: Meet others who understand your journey.
Respite Care: Take time to rest and recharge.
Case Management: Get help navigating programs and services.

Many people don’t think of themselves as caregivers; they’re just “helping Mom,” “checking on a neighbor,” or “being there for Dad.”
But if you regularly help a loved one with meals, transportation, errands, or personal care, you are a caregiver.
Recognizing that role is the first step to connecting with the resources that can support you, too.
If you are a caregiver, you don’t have to do it alone. You can plug into the many free services and programs available in L.A. County…
